We have enjoyed stays at Red Rock, a strip quality hotel/casino that is away from the rat race. It is very inconvenient for seating and viewing the performers and, I believe, unsafe. I would not recommend attending any staged performance in this place. If this room would have had to be evacuated quickly for an emergency, there no doubt would have been fatalities, especially with all the exit doors on one side locked. Also, the room was totally inappropriate for a concert, with a flat floor, unsecured dinner chairs and low platform for a stage There were almost no aisles for getting from one side of the room to the other or from front to back. In fact, the slow admission process delayed the start of the performance by 15 minutes. Not only was it lacking in personnel to admit the probably sold-out crowd, but it had to be violating local fire codes, since most of the exit doors were locked before, during and after the concert.
Dave Koz and his 'friends' gave an exceptional, 5-star performance, so this review is not about them but about the unworthy venue where they performed-the Red Rock Ballroom.
